we believe health is wealth

because when you feel your best, you perform your best

While UPG may be new by name, its foundation has been in the making for over a decade.

Our story began with Body Upgrade, founded by UPG CEO Jake Davis over a decade ago with one mission: to make world-class fitness and nutrition coaching accessible to anyone in need, not just those who can afford high-end services, but especially those who can’t, yet frequently need it most. His goal was simple but powerful — bring expert-level, results-driven coaching to people who were often left out due to cost.

Since then, Body Upgrade has transformed the health and lives of thousands across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. With a team of certified coaches, a proven system, and a track record built through working with every type of body and fitness level — including deep partnerships with veterans, military personnel, police, and fire communities — we’ve delivered powerful, lasting results.

Our approach has helped improve, and in many cases reverse, conditions like type II diabetes, autoimmune issues, and chronic inflammation through strategic nutrition and intelligent, safe training. Clients have reduced their reliance on medication, managed stress more effectively, balanced demanding work and family lives, and recovered from injuries and surgeries with strength and confidence.

The needs may vary, but the mission stays the same: real results for real people. UPG was created to bring that same transformation to the corporate world.

We’ve seen what’s missing — companies want healthier, more energized teams, but they’re unsure how to make it happen. Employees want to improve their health but often lack the time, support, or financial means. Government programs and even health insurance programs are not even close to solving this problem, but your company can help solve this problem by working with UPG.

That’s the real opportunity.

By partnering with UPG, corporations can take action where other systems have failed. You can offer your teams something they truly need — expert coaching, guidance, and support — without adding to HR’s plate. It’s fully tax-deductible, requires zero effort on your part, and delivers a measurable, lasting impact on your team’s performance and well-being.

We’ve drawn on over a decade of experience, proven results, and real-world insight to build a system that delivers at scale, for your company and any company.

UPG isn’t a gamble. It’s a proven solution finally built for the people who need it most.

    From Struggle to Strength:
    A Personal Journey to Health

All through my teenage years, I was overweight, unhealthy, and stuck in a vicious cycle of fad diets and quick fixes. On the outside, I looked like the life of the party – big laughs, big drinks, and bigger nights – but on the inside, I battled depression, anxiety, and relentless frustration. No matter how hard I pushed – restricting calories, logging hours of cardio, relying on willpower – nothing worked long-term. I wasn’t getting better physically, and I was falling apart mentally.

By luck everything changed when I met Matt Kendrick, a top coach in England. He introduced me to a new way of thinking: sustainable nutrition, innovative training, and yes, while still getting to enjoy a beer and a social life. He helped me realize that true health isn’t about punishment. It’s about empowerment.

The impact was so profound that I quit my well-paid job (everyone thought I was crazy), went back to school, and started working for Matt as a personal trainer. That decision sparked a passion to help others experience the same transformation I’d been given. In 2010, I moved to Los Angeles and began building a successful career as a personal trainer and nutritionist in Hollywood.

Over the next 15 years, I trained athletes, actors, musicians and anyone you can imagine. It was exciting. I was so grateful for the success, but something always felt off. My mission was never to coach only the wealthiest people in the world. My mission was to help anyone who desperately wanted to change.

That’s why I founded BodyUpgrade in 2016 – to make expert, personalized coaching accessible and affordable for anyone, anywhere. Coaching that fits real lives and real budgets. Since then, our team has helped thousands of clients across multiple countries break free from the cycle and build sustainable, lasting health.

But my mission didn’t stop there.

I’ve always believed that corporations are the missing link. They have the power to impact health on a vast scale in places where stress, burnout, and poor health habits run rampant. UPG was born from that belief.

With our collective experience in fitness, nutrition, and leadership, we understand both individual transformation and organizational success. UPG isn’t about short-term fixes. It’s about building a culture of wellness that fuels people – and performance.

Because health isn’t a luxury, it’s the foundation for everything else. And we’re here to help you build it.

From Law Enforcement to Lifelong Wellness:
A Commitment to Health and Strength

After nearly 20 years serving with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, I’ve seen firsthand how demanding careers can take a toll on health. Whether leading high-pressure investigations as a Sergeant or mentoring new officers as a certified instructor, I witnessed how chronic stress and unpredictable schedules impacted both physical and mental well-being.

The reality is harsh — the average life expectancy for retired law enforcement officers is less than five years. That sobering fact drove me to take control of my health, and it’s why I’m so passionate about helping others do the same.

Retirement didn’t mean slowing down for me — it meant stepping into a new mission. Becoming a certified fitness and nutrition coach allowed me to combine my passion for mentorship with my dedication to health. Partnering with my wife, we launched a training company focused on empowering others to build strength, resilience, and longevity.

Now, as the head of coaching operations at UPG, I’m committed to bringing that same level of support to corporate teams. Our approach is about more than just fitness — it’s about creating sustainable habits that lead to long-term health.

I believe that inspired, educated coaches create inspired, educated clients — and I’m dedicated to helping others take control of their health, mindset, and future.

I understand the importance of effective leadership, clear communication, and tailored solutions — skills I’ve honed throughout my career. At UPG, we’re not just providing coaching; we’re helping companies build healthier, stronger workforces from the inside out.

Your people are your greatest investment. Let’s help them thrive.

    From Corporate to Coaching:
A Journey of Health, Healing, and Empowerment

After 11 years at Zappos.com as a fraud and data analyst, I learned firsthand how easy it is to put health on the back burner — until your body forces you to pay attention.

Living with multiple autoimmune disorders like Hashimoto’s and celiac disease, a genetic clotting mutation (Factor V Leiden), and a rare metabolic bone disease (Hypophosphatasia), I know what it means to fight for your well-being. But through those challenges, I also discovered how much strength our bodies are capable of when we treat them with care.

At 30, I set out to prioritize my health and build a strong, resilient body. What started as a goal to become “fit” led to the realization that I had body dysmorphia and had been under-eating most of my life. Learning to properly fuel and train my body not only changed my physique — it transformed my mindset.

That experience ignited a passion for fitness and nutrition. After years of personal growth and learning, I earned my certifications and became a coach, determined to help others break free from destructive patterns and embrace sustainable health.

At UPG, we understand the corporate grind — the stress, the deadlines, and the impact it has on well-being. That’s why we’re committed to helping companies invest in their greatest asset: their people. Our personalized approach to fitness and nutrition is designed to build healthier, happier, and more productive teams.

Your health is your wealth — and we’re here to help you protect it.
